Autumnal Fascinations

This post is exploring the experimentations through my first term of university. Themes include autumn colours, shapes and movements. This includes revisiting techniques such as knit and embroidery, but also developing new methods and techniques within printed and woven textiles.

In the above photo woven patterns are combined, creating a mixture of textures and coloured variations. Reverse applique shows deep ridges and fabric layers amongst the soldered edges and detailed machine embroidery.

The following images are portraying the experimentation of embroidery methods. Both involve textures with a fibrous aesthetic.
